Call-In Substitute Teacher

Call-In Substitute Teachers provide classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular teacher. Substitutes are responsible for maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment while following the lesson plans and school procedures provided. This position is on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to assigned school location on time and check in with the main office.
• Review and implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher.
• Provide instruction and maintain classroom routines to ensure continuity of learning.
• Manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies fairly and consistently.
• Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and other settings as assigned.
• Communicate any issues, concerns, or feedback to school administration.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the daily operations of the school.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree or teacher certification preferred).
• Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Flexibility and dependability to accept assignments on short notice.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

Schedule:

• As needed, based on school needs.
• Hours may vary depending on the assignment.

Compensation:

Daily rate of $130 (full-day assignment).
