Ignite Education Group seeks Special Education Teachers to support partner K-12 schools in delivering high-quality, inclusive instruction for students with disabilities. In this role, you will provide small-group and push-in services, design and adapt standards-aligned lessons, and lead compliant, student-centered IEP processes. You'll collaborate closely with general educators, service providers, and families to implement data-informed academic and behavioral interventions. Working within a mission-driven, equity-focused team, you'll receive coaching and professional learning while helping schools build sustainable, effective special education practices that advance outcomes for all learners.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct special education instruction aligned to IEP goals for K-12 students in inclusive and resource settings
- Design and adapt standards-based lesson plans, materials, and assessments for diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs in collaboration with families, general educators, and service providers
- Use data to monitor student progress, adjust interventions, and document outcomes for compliance and reporting
- Collaborate with school teams to model evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies
- Support behavior intervention plans and create positive, trauma-informed classroom environments
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support meetings, and professional learning communities
- Communicate frequently with families to share progress and partner on support strategies
- Maintain accurate records to meet federal, state, and district special education requirements
- Engage in ongoing professional development focused on equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice
