We are seeking a passionate, student-centered Certified Math Teacher
. The ideal candidate is skilled at building strong mathematical foundations while helping students reason, model, and apply mathematics to real-world contexts. This teacher will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that supports diverse learners and promotes academic growth.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to North Carolina Standard Course of Study for Math 1 & Math 2, including Linear, quadratic, exponential relationships; functions and modeling; systems of equations and inequalities; descriptive statistics, data analysis, probability; algebraic reasoning and mathematical justification.
• Use multiple instructional strategies (direct instruction, collaborative learning, problem-based learning, and math discourse) to meet diverse student needs.
• Assess student understanding using formative and summative assessments; analyze data to identify misconceptions and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Support students in developing conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and real-world application.
• Implement intervention and enrichment strategies as needed.
• Maintain a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with instructional coaches, PLCs, and support staff.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
• Uphold school policies, expectations, and professional responsibilities.

• Valid North Carolina Teaching License in Mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of NC Math 1 standards.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for varied learning levels.
• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to student growth and continuous professional learning.

• Experience teaching Math 1.
• Experience using data-driven instruction and intervention strategies.
• Familiarity with curriculum platforms and digital learning tools.
• Experience working in diverse or high-needs learning environments.
