Part Time Continuing Education Instructor positions are available in the Business and Public Services Technologies department. Qualified candidates must be proficient in front desk, guestroom attendant, housekeeping services, restaurant server, busser, and banquet service through education or experience. Candidates should be knowledgeable of property management (PMS) and point of sale (POS) systems used to streamline and optimize hotel and food service functions.
Most classes will be held in-person on campus; however, courses may include online and off-site teaching locations. Teaching also includes organizing and leading off-campus field trips and supervision of student internships with industry partners.
- High school diploma and three years of work experience in the lodging industry (hotel, motel, or other lodging field).
- Associate's degree in Hospitality and Tourism or related field from an accredited college or university, and a minimum of 3 years' work experience in the hotel, motel, or other lodging field.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching adult learners in a career and/or technical field.
- Official college transcripts or high school diplomas must be from a regionally accredited institution.
- Licenses and/or certifications used for credentialing purposes are to remain current by the employee, unless noted otherwise.
The pay grade for this position is part-time. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.
