Faculty members are expected to demonstrate knowledge and maintain competence in the field of instruction throughout their employment at the college as well as participate in activities which enhance the college’s service to students and the community.
10 years experience in one or more of the following areas:
Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration and/or Electrical systems.
Ability to schedule and communicate professionally with the client
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience teaching in a community college
- Ability to develop and offer courses using different learning technologies
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a high performing team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Commitment to helping students and personal desire to make a difference
- Ability to take initiatives and perform with only general directions
- Ability to utilize different instructional methods, strategies and technologies to meet diverse student needs
- Ability to deliver instruction in a variety of settings
Typical classroom or training environment; sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects; work requires fingering, grasping, and repetitive keyboarding motions; vocal communications is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels;
visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; no adverse environmental conditions; infrequently traveling between buildings on campus, to other campuses, or locally
