Manager Technical Documentation; m​/w​/d

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading our internal team of technical writers, covering classic team management responsibilities including oversight of tools and licenses, budget planning and other organizational topics
• Planning and monitoring of team activities, by leading regular team meetings, prioritizing and structuring tasks, while maintaining an overview of strategic themes and providing direction on long-term goals
• Supporting operational topics such as translation workflows, coordination of documentation releases, ensuring deadlines are met and providing direction in specific use cases
• Defining content for product-related online trainings and coordinating related projects, including collaboration with external partners such as video agencies
• Managing and evolving our documentation platform, where the technical documentation is made accessible to both internal stakeholders and external customers
• Acting as the main contact for key internal stakeholders (e.g. Sales, R&D, Service) to ensure information flow and over-departmental alignment
• Driving process improvements by identifying bottlenecks, developing best practices and introducing new tools to support daily operations
• Supporting the department director by suggesting new methods or tools to be improved with the goal to speed up and simplify the process (writing, check, approval)

• Completed technical, scientific or editorial studies
• Several years of experience in technical writing or documentation, ideally in an industrial or technology-driven environment
• Proven ability in leading or coordinating small teams or projects
• Experience with content management systems and In-Design software or equivalent as an advantage
• Excellent English language skills required;
  German and/or Italian as an advantage
