Ramboll's Data Center Facilities team is a leader in Data Center Strategy, Planning, Design, Integration, Commissioning and Testing. We provide services for enterprise, institutional, web scale, service provider and colocation companies.

As our new Sr. Electrical Engineer, you will join the Data Center Facilities design team, working on projects at every stage of development with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers. You will develop leading-edge electrical infrastructure solutions for hyperscale and colocation data centers, address engineering challenges for AI data centers and grid capacity constraints, and participate in site selection, regulatory due diligence, master planning, and commissioning.

• Provide electrical data center design and oversight to internal and external project teams
• Develop proposals, scopes of work and fees from client information, RFPs, or client meetings
• Lead electrical engineers and designers in developing conceptual designs, schematic and final designs for construction, and oversee implementation in mission-critical facilities
• Coordinate and manage project engineering teams of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/fire protection engineers and designers
• Review and develop specifications for equipment meeting data center design requirements
• Prepare or review bid packages and review/approve submittals for construction proposals
• Perform needs assessments and due diligence studies, cost-benefit analysis, failure analysis and total cost of ownership studies
• Perform power systems analysis for complex, mission-critical facilities and evaluate others’ analyses
• Assist in business development activities
• Assist commissioning teams

• 7+ years experience in electrical engineering and design with AutoCAD/Revit drafting
• General understanding of electrical systems, building codes and experience with short-circuit, coordination and arc-flash studies
• Valid driver's license and available for 20% travel (mostly day trips)
• Preferred to be licensed as a Professional Engineer

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $96, annually and does not include bonuses, overtime or other forms of compensation or benefits. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
