Construction Environmental Compliance Coordinator (ECC) (Field Based) is a full-time position based in Charlotte, North Carolina, or Raleigh, North Carolina, posted recently with job requisition R.
ERM is hiring a Construction Environmental Compliance Coordinator (ECC) to oversee environmental compliance in Florence, SC
. The role involves working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with environmental regulations during construction projects. This is a 20-month limited-term position (40-60 hours/week) with a possibility of extension.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting oversight of environmental compliance on construction projects
- Conducting stormwater compliance inspections
- Interpreting and verifying compliance with Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans
- Monitoring waste management, including hazardous waste
- Reviewing permits and project compliance documentation
- Ensuring client procedures and work practices are followed
- Filing reports, inspections, and training records
- Conducting self-assessments and informal reviews for compliance
- Providing environmental training to project teams and contractors
- Updating client tracking systems regarding incidents and violations
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in environmental inspection, monitoring, or permitting, specifically related to energy infrastructure projects
- Field experience with construction projects like pipelines, power lines, and renewable energy facilities
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital photography
- Knowledge of environmental sampling, stormwater compliance, and waste management
- Understanding of construction best practices for stormwater and dust control
- Experience with permits related to trench and hydrostatic testing
- Valid driver’s license
