Materials Management Principal

Responsibilities

• Implement Kinaxis Rapid Response in an integrated solution with SAP.
• Lead the planning function's adoption of the Honeywell Global Design Model (GDM) using Rapid Response for world-class planning processes across all IA sites globally.
• Continuous improvement of planning processes will be key to successfully supporting S&OP, constraining an executable Master Production Schedule (MPS), and reducing inventory.
• Lead the projects implementing planning systems and processes across the business units to ensure these initiatives deliver expected outcomes.
• Support the SIOP leaders of several business divisions to execute the vision and goals.
• Mentor, train, and develop planners to become effective in the improved operating system.
• Partner with I.T. and the site planning leaders to lead the resolution of system and process issues.
• Navigate processes and people through change management to successfully deploy the Honeywell Global Design Model (GDM).
• Improve planning processes in support of the Honeywell Planning Global Design Model (GDM). Industrial Automation (IA) Focal for all Rapid Response Production Planning enhancements, track enhancements, develop standard work / operational procedures and train sites to adopt the new enhancements.
• IA Focal for the Rapid Response Constraint Properties ownership - develop the audit and drive action plans with sites to improve the maturity of the Constraint Properties.
• Establish yourself as the primary point of contact for the Rapid Response Production Planning.
• Production Planning training lead for sites implementing Rapid Response Production Planning.
• Utilize Rapid Response and SAP to create Rough Cut Capacity Plans (RCCP) for all IA Sites.
• Collaborate with sites to build realistic and credible MPS' as needed.
• Apply SAP and Rapid Response system usage to drive planning priorities of reducing inventory, improving service and improving reliability.
• Design the business planning requirements needed in Rapid Response to continue to drive adoption with the system to solve business problems.

• Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field and 8 years of experience in Supply Planning and Production planning including knowledge of MRP, DRP, Capacity Planning, MPS, SIOP.
• Full term of experience must include: proven record of driving planning to achieve key performance metrics; expert knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response and/or SAP knowledge and use for planning and scheduling; and working knowledge of project management tools and templates.
• Up to up to 30% international and domestic travel required.
