Senior Performance Engineer – Dynatrace & HP LoadRunner

Overview

Dynatrace - Performance Engineering HP Load Runner. Individual will provide performance testing capabilities for complex applications. He/she will work with stakeholders on a daily basis to design test cases, create performance test scripts and execute performance scenarios.

• Lead and perform data driven load testing by designing and executing load and performance tests using Load Runner (or JMeter).
• Write technical performance test plans and develop data driven load test scripts using Citrix Protocol.
• Develop and enhance advanced test scripts beyond built-in record and playback capabilities (VUGen 9.5 or greater).
• Lead data creation activities for the required load tests and design tests to cover load, failover, aging, and other scenarios.
• Use monitoring/profiling tools (Dynatrace, CA Wily Introscope, App Dynamics, AWR reports, Splunk, etc.) to monitor, gather, and report application performance on Windows or Linux machines.
• Work closely with application development, architecture, infrastructure and production support groups for defect triage and production planning.
• Report findings according to a defined process (e.g., sending an email) and participate in project/team meetings to contribute.
• Maintain knowledge of distributed load test environments and application architecture; understand web protocols (HTTP, Citrix, etc.).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure performance objectives are met and provide input for performance improvements.

• About 5-10 years of hands-on experience as a developer and/or performance architect.
• Experience with web protocols including HTTP and Citrix; familiarity with related technologies and patterns.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C, Java, SQL, scripting); specialized Python programming skills required.
• Experience with performance monitoring/profiling tools (Dynatrace, CA Wily Introscope, AWR reports, Splunk, etc.).
• Experience with loan or financial systems (e.g., LoanIQ/Finastra) or similar load management applications is a plus; development experience is beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot load and performance issues; excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range- $90,000-$100,000 a year
