The Role
As a Product Specialist, you will work closely with the product manager, our sales teams, and a cross‑functional product team to create and maintain sales enablement tools, selling strategies, and customer‑facing messaging for optimal product positioning with customers.
Key Responsibilities- Support the sales of water‑cooled screw, scroll and centrifugal chillers to develop strategies to promote and sell water‑cooled chillers. Provide accurate and timely support for pre‑sales to execute these strategies.
- As a recognized expert, perform presentations of sales and training material at events, industry gatherings, and through webinars and recorded sessions.
- Incorporate artificial intelligence to improve the process of creation and maintenance of technical sales material, including product data, technical manuals, product bulletins, marketing brochures, application guides, technical presentations, and sales presentations.
- Work across multiple disciplines to continue to implement updates, new product releases and increase productivity of selection software and pricing systems.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to create new, next‑generation sales tools.
- Perform competitive and market analysis, collect sales office and customer feedback for water‑cooled chillers.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering with 3+ years of experience in commercial applied HVAC and/or refrigeration and/or commercial industrial equipment.
- Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering with 2+ years of experience in commercial applied HVAC and/or refrigeration and/or commercial industrial equipment.
- Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: water‑cooled chillers, air‑cooled chillers, or building automation and control of HVAC equipment.
- Product marketing experience in a technical environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Technical understanding of HVAC systems, including system design, building and energy codes, system operation, refrigeration systems, fans, electrical and control systems, and psychometrics.
- Well‑developed analytical thinking, critical thinking, problem‑solving skills. Ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, develop conclusions, and propose solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, teamwork, responsibility, dependability, flexibility, motivation, respect, and patience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI.
- Competency in business fundamentals, strong math skills, experience with SAP.
- Well‑developed organizational skills, ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment, ability to prioritize and self‑direct with multiple activities and projects.
