Junior Draughtsman

Watercare Mining is a water purification supplier delivering tailor‑made solutions in water treatment chemicals and engineered plants such as potable and wastewater purification plants. We provide professional, cost‑effective engineering solutions for water processes, including plant design, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities worldwide.

The Junior Draughtsman is responsible for updating and preparing technical drawings for process and mechanical systems using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. The role focuses on maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and 3D models in accordance with redlined revisions received from engineers. The Junior Draughtsman will also assist in generating DXF files, updating Bills of Materials (BOMs), and preparing drawing packages for supplier quotations.

• Drawing and Design Updates
• Revise and update P& PFD drawings in AutoCAD based on redlined mark‑ups from process engineers.
• Ensure all changes are implemented accurately and conform to the latest project specifications and standards.
• 3D Modelling and Detailing
• Create and modify part and assembly models in Autodesk Inventor according to engineering requirements.
• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings and component layouts for manufacturing or supplier use.
• Generate DXF files and other export formats required for laser cutting, machining, or supplier quotation purposes.
• Documentation and BOM Management
• Update and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in line with model and drawing revisions.
• Verify quantities, part numbers, and material specifications before issuing drawing packs.
• Coordinate with process engineers and procurement teams to ensure data consistency and traceability.
• Drawing Pack Preparation and Distribution
• Compile complete drawing packs for supplier quotation and fabrication.
• Check that all relevant drawings, BOMs, and DXFs are included and properly referenced.
• Send drawing packs to approved suppliers and assist in tracking quotation progress.
• Data and File Management
• Save, organize, and archive all drawings, models, and associated documentation on the company server following established naming conventions and revision control procedures.
• Maintain drawing registers and version control for traceability.
• Assist in maintaining standard drawing templates and title blocks.
