- Use 2D and 3D CAD software to model assemblies and individual parts and generate engineering drawings and bills of material.
- Understand customer specifications, project requirements, guaranteed technical particulars, prepare design review documents, technical reports, and justifications for the customers.
- Assist in the resolution/remediation of product issues and participate in root cause analyses.
- Communicate and work effectively with manufacturing and service engineering colleagues on process improvements and new product development and introduction.
- Design of the latest combustion hardware contributing to the decarbonization goals of Siemens Energy.
- Development of the latest combustion system utilizing the latest manufacturing techniques both conventional and additive.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in machine design.
- Mechanical design/analysis experience with components for turbo‑machinery applications or similar applications.
- Ability to create complex drawings and specifications, including a solid understanding of GD&T.
- Experience in design of mechanical components more than 5 years.
- Good presentation and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Siemens NX CAD, ANSYS, Teamcenter & SAP.
$70,000 to $80,000 a year.
CompensationCompensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work RequirementsThis role is considered an on‑site position located in Charlotte, NC.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.
