The Sr. Electrical Engineer will support manufacturing operations by designing, improving, and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and processes. This role ensures safety, reliability, and efficiency across production lines while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems, control panels, and wiring schematics for manufacturing equipment.
  • Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and automation equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and control system issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and update technical documentation including drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, quality, and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
  • Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC, UL).
  • Evaluate and integrate sensors, PLCs, drives, and industrial communication networks to support automation needs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and energy‑efficiency projects.
  • Manage electrical components, spare parts, and vendor relationships as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
  • Proficiency with electrical schematics, circuit design, and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
  • Understanding of electrical safety standards and best practices.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to support fast‑paced production environments.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and use CAD software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automation platforms (e.g., Allen‑Bradley, Siemens).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
  • Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
  • Project management experience, including leading equipment upgrades or installations.
