Project Engineering Manager – Water & Wastewater
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to oversee the engineering elements of multiple design‑build, design‑bid‑build, and traditional delivery projects, including advanced treatment facilities, underground conveyance, and carbon‑neutral solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a multi‑discipline team of engineers and technicians on high‑profile municipal projects.
- Supervise and mentor engineering staff, identifying developmental growth opportunities.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and correspondence with clients and project management in support of projects.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables for large or multiple projects.
- Assist in research to develop equipment and material recommendations.
- Prepare complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines.
- Lead production teams, coordinate multiple discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for a project.
- Identify key client interests and drivers for moderately complex projects.
- Communicate client concerns to project team members and develop solutions.
- Provide support for business development or pursuit activities.
- Manage project changes directly with the client under project manager supervision.
- Lead large multi‑discipline teams to meet project deliverables.
- Provide input to technical leadership for complex water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Drive solutions to achieve project goals.
- Review lower‑level engineering work or assignments.
- Mentor and manage performance of assigned personnel.
- PE license.
- Previous engineering consulting experience.
- Experience executing multi‑discipline WTP and WWTP upgrades and expansion projects.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, including background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
- Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on managerial discretion, performance, and assignments.
- Sitting, standing, and computer usage for extended periods.
- Ability to use video/audio conferencing tools for communication.
- Travel to client sites.
