Senior Electrical Project Engineer

Evergreen Innovation Group, part of the DPR Family of Companies, seeks a Senior Electrical Project Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor, develop, and train team members in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Manage other Project Engineer team members and coordinate with project staff such as the Field Office Coordinator and Project Accountant.
  • Apply EIG’s environmental health and safety plan, performing weekly safety audits and maintaining injury‑free environments.
  • Understand and enforce contracts between the general contractor and the owner.
  • Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager in implementing EIG policies and executing the project.
  • Organize duties of other engineers, providing direction, prioritization, and performance feedback.
  • Participate in trainings and company meetings for individual and company growth.
  • Electronically archive project files for easy access by the project team.
  • Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules and work with the Superintendent to address schedule constraints.
  • Maintain document control entities: daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as‑builts, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.
  • Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to all affected parties.
  • Identify, assemble, negotiate, and distribute change orders to the general contractor and owner.
  • Prepare agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and action items for owner/architect/contractor, coordination, safety, and staff meetings.
  • Participate in project cost control, maintaining internal records and working with subcontractors to ensure changes are paid.
  • Prepare owner billing by assembling EIG costs, reviewing invoices, and organizing documents per the general contractor’s requirements.

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong organization and adaptability, able to support current project needs.
  • Detailed knowledge of assigned project scopes, with a 100% hands‑on approach.
  • Proactive problem‑solving to resolve construction issues during design and construction phases.
  • Goal‑oriented coordination and resolution of project issues within the team and with designers, engineers, and owners.
  • Excellent listening, communication, and complex issue resolution skills.
  • Effective participation in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (CMiC, Prolog, or similar), scheduling software (Primavera or similar), and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or similar).
  • Strong work ethic, a “can‑do” attitude, and passion for construction.
Education and Experience

5+ years as a Project Engineer, preferably within EIG’s core markets;
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; travel to and from the office and assigned job site(s).
