Position Summary:
The Chief Estimator will be responsible for managing the estimating process across all regional projects, ensuring the accuracy of budgets and cost estimates. They will uphold estimating standards, oversee the cost database, and lead the bidding process for both traditional and alternative procurement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor the estimating team.
- Ensure bid accuracy, scope completeness, and risk identification.
- Develop accurate, innovative estimates and conceptual budgets.
- Collaborate with business development to execute regional sales strategies and build client relationships.
- Coordinate project information flow, subcontractor bids, and insurance requirements.
- Analyze cost trends and alternative methods for cost-effective solutions.
- Support project teams with successful proposals and post-bid activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- 7+ years of construction estimating experience, especially for medium-to-large commercial and industrial projects.
- Proficiency in Bid2
Win or similar estimating software. - Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to mentor and manage a team effectively.
