We're looking for a motivated early-career engineer to join a collaborative lighting team where you'll take ownership of projects from start to finish. This role blends design, fieldwork, and client interaction, giving you the opportunity to make a visible impact while growing your technical and professional skills.

What You'll Do

* Own lighting projects end-to-end-from initial request through final completion

* Work directly with customers via phone, email, and onsite meetings

* Perform site visits to assess conditions and confirm project needs

* Create lighting designs using AutoCAD and design software

* Develop and present proposals, project costs, and timelines

* Coordinate permits, documentation, and project logistics

* Track progress, maintain accurate records, and keep projects on schedule

* Deliver efficient, well-designed solutions that minimize rework

What You Bring

* Experience or exposure to engineering design, drafting, or utilities

* Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools

* Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset

* Ability to manage multiple projects and stay organized

* Comfortable splitting time between office work and field visits

Nice to Have

* Associate's degree in engineering, technology, or related field

* Background in lighting, electrical, or utility design

* Experience with lighting design software (AGi
32, Visual, or similar)

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
