As the Manager of Regional Projects, based in Charlotte, NC, you will lead regional engineering and administrative staff to provide customers with project identification and scope development for projects that will drive business volume growth. Additionally, you will assist with proposal development and lead all aspects for projects, including internal and external resources and suppliers.
This role will be supporting our Power and Water Solutions business. Emerson’s five decades of power and water expertise embedded within the Ovation distributed control system (DCS) forms a reliable and innovative platform that evolves with rapidly changing technology to help improve plant reliability.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:- Lead engineers performing regional projects, services, warranty work. Provide management and engineering support for other projects.
- Perform and lead the vital engineering support functions to maintain regional project schedules and support major project startups.
- Interface effectively with key customers, building relationships and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through outstanding performance.
- Efficiently work with customers to resolve issues on projects and warranty issues.
- Perform monthly project cost reviews on assigned projects and implement procedures to improve project cost and performance.
- Review project proposals for proper content and cost working through appropriate channels to ensure objectives are being met.
- Prepare accurate monthly financial forecasts for sales and margins to support the objectives of Regional Operations.
- Provide a professional environment and support for employees to grow in their careers and develop to their full potential.
You serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long‑lasting relationships with key accounts. You take a proactive approach to shape and influence partner expectations, and you anticipate conflicts before they happen, based on knowledge of interpersonal and group dynamics.
For This Role, You Will Need:- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years' related experience applying engineering or project leadership skills in a technical environment.
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Willing and able to travel up to 30% within North America.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided. Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
- OV400 certification and/or prior Ovation system experience.
- PE or PMP certificate.
- Past experience as a site manager or project manager.
- Past demonstrated leadership capabilities.
