Job SummaryWe are looking for a Fall Protection Safety Training Professional to join our Safety team. The role involves completing safety training based on client requirements, primarily in North Carolina, Ohio, or Texas, with remote candidates across the U.S. considered.
Compensation and BenefitsAnnual Compensation: $65,000–$95,000 based on experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

- Facilitate LJB’s Fall Protection courses, including training for Competent, Authorized, and Qualified Persons.
- Lead courses delivered to LJB clients (1–5 days). Uncover client needs during training, gather individual evaluation data, and provide input to the development and delivery of safety training programs.
- Develop and facilitate other safety training topics and subjects based on client needs.
- Assess client sites to determine compliance within the client’s facility based on OSHA/ANSI guidelines for various safety programs, including fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout, and machine guarding.
- Apply OSHA/ANSI guidelines: collect data, evaluate current safety measures, identify need for additional hazard controls, prioritize hazards, and provide an assessment report outlining findings. The assessment will recommend solutions to address non‑compliant safety issues.
- Willingness to travel (two weeks each month) to various U.S.
-based locations. - Ability to work within many different environments and facilities, including those that require respirators.
- Ability to react quickly and calmly to high‑pressure situations.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Ability to engage an audience to help them understand the specifics of the Fall Protection training class.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of reaching the assessment points within the client facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree required in safety, health and environment or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Understanding/Training in OSHA/ANSI standards required; fall protection preferred.
- Associate Safety Professional Certification (CSP preferred) or obtainable within two years.
- SPRAT/IRATA certifications preferred.
- Experience with scissor lifts, aerial lifts, forklifts.
- Minimum six years of adult education/training experience, preferably in safety or fall protection training.
- Experience with instructional systems development (ISD) highly preferred.
- Microsoft Office experience required.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug test, and MVR check.
- Traverse worksite in varying weather, bend, climb, stretch, reach, and lean to perform duties.
- Meet weight capacity of fall protection system design perimeters (130–310 lbs.).
- Understand exposure to construction site dangers.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
