CAD Engineering Technician Charlotte, NC

Job Description

• Provide various aspects of support for projects in the planning, design, bidding, and construction phases
• Prepare CAD drawings and exhibits for projects
• Learn and follow company CAD standards
• Work with design data (by others) in Civil 3D
• Coordinate printing and preparation of product deliverables

• AutoCAD 2018 or later, or equivalent
• Civil 3D experience would be great, but is not required
• Working knowledge of Autodesk tools (or equivalent) in an engineer drawing / plan production environment
• Experience working in a civil engineering firm is preferred; if not, demonstrate transferable skills for success as a CAD Engineering Technician
• Familiarity with design processes in airport/road design, site design, construction, and survey preferred, but not required
• Must travel for onboarding and training

• Conscientious to the point of leaning toward perfectionism, ensuring detailed accuracy
• Go-getter with a self-created sense of urgency
• Good communicator across audiences at different levels
• Quick on feet, able to adjust, solve problems efficiently, and devise innovative solutions
• Team player, pitching in help to meet deadlines
