Engineering/Construction Management Internship/Co-op – Charlotte Airport (CLT) Project – Fall 2026

Co-op and Intern opportunities are available in two areas:
Field Engineering / Management and Estimating / Office Engineering
. During your co-op session you will assist with project layout, shop drawing submittals, scheduling, site inspections, and other essential aspects of managing work. You will also gain experience in safety, quality, job costing, and scope evaluation, partner with the bid team to develop estimates, prepare subcontracts and purchase orders, and contribute to meeting critical project milestones.
- Assist with project layout, shop drawing submittals, and project schedule.
- Complete site inspections and produce daily work reports and subcontractor activity logs.
- Interact with field management, subcontractors, and owners to determine safety measures, quality specifications, cost estimates, and scope.
- Support the bid team in cost estimating from contract documents and plans.
- Use cutting‑edge software for quantity takeoffs and hard bid estimates.
- Participate in scheduling, site visits, and time studies for accurate estimating data.
- Help prepare subcontracts, purchase orders, and production cost reports.
- Undergraduate student enrolled in a college or university program.
- Intense interest and passion for the construction industry and teamwork.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Must not have been convicted of a felony within the prior ten years (required by Charlotte‑Douglas International Airport).
