Our client has engaged us to assist them in hiring a contract Transmission Line Engineer. Your specific duties as a Transmission Line Engineer will include:

• Providing design, engineering, and technical expertise for transmission lines, primarily supporting the Carolinas West region.
• Familiarity with Transmission Line engineering theories and principles.
• Working independently with guidance on complex projects.
• Creating conceptual designs, performing detailed design calculations, and supporting construction activities.
• Conducting engineering studies, preparing reports, and developing solutions for transmission line projects.
• Ensuring project completion and supporting troubleshooting on-site.
• Making informed decisions impacting projects and business results.
• Maintaining accurate records and effective communication.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in Transmission Line.
• Professional Engineer Licensure.
• Experience in the utility industry and proficiency with transmission line design software (e.g., PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER).
• Knowledge of applicable design codes and standards.
• Strong research, evaluation, and recommendation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and project management principles.
