We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented GIS Analyst to join one of our large energy clients. This position will be primarily responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the Electric Distribution model within our GIS application, with potential to support Transmission and Landbase models as needed.
- Maintain and update the Electric Distribution GIS model.
- Support GIS operations by posting and validating modeling data.
- Generate analytical reports and thematic maps using GIS data.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external customers to fulfill GIS-related requests.
- Provide support for Transmission and Landbase GIS models as needed.
Must Haves:
- Strong background and demonstrated experience with ESRI products.
- Experience with GE Small world is preferred.
- Proficiency in GIS data analysis and cartographic presentation.
- Prior experience in the utility industry is a plus.
Education:
- Associate degree in GIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, Geography, Geology, or a related field; or an equivalent GIS Certificate.
- In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant industry experience will be considered.
Compensation:
$18/hr - $20/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
