Fire & Safety Engineer

Primary Responsibilities
HDR's Fire & Life Safety Engineer will serve in a key role in providing and delivering fire & life safety design services, including: active and passive fire and life safety systems; code consulting; life safety and egress evaluations; performance based design; fire/smoke/egress modeling; inspection and plan review; hazard and risk analysis; emergency management and planning; structural fire protection; fire root cause analysis;

and accessibility consulting. HDR’s Fire & Life Safety Engineer will also: prepare or review scopes, budgets, and schedules; coordinate with subconsultants and clients to keep projects on schedule and within budget; review submittals and contract documents and respond to Requests for Information; and review work of and mentor junior engineers and technical staff as needed.
