Temporary Security Platform Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Temporary Security Platform Engineer to support security engineering and operational initiatives across client and internal environments.

• Build, integrate, and maintain security tools, automations, and platform capabilities across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Support vulnerability management, incident response, and monitoring by investigating findings and driving remediation actions.
• Develop and enhance automation (Python/Power Shell, SOAR) to streamline triage, enrichment, and response workflows.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to deploy secure architectures and improve platform resiliency.
• Analyze security events/findings, communicate risk clearly, and recommend prioritized fixes to technical and business stakeholders.
• Identify process gaps and implement scalable engineering improvements to strengthen overall security operations efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
• 3+ years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or a related technical role within a dynamic environment.
• Hands‑on experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Power Shell) and security platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability management tools.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and modern infrastructure (APIs, containers, microservices).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Compensation Range: $28 - $42 per hour. The role offers flexibility in schedule and is a temporary position, supported by a competitive benefits package.
