Job Summary
The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new products for our company. They will ensure that the products meet customer requirements and adhere to industry standards. The engineer will collaborate with other teams including marketing, sales, and production to ensure that the product meets all designated requirements.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and develop new products according to company requirements.
- Create test plans and conduct testing of prototype products.
- Ensure that the products meet all necessary standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other teams including marketing, sales, and production.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of product development.
- Continuously test and evaluate products to ensure quality and functionality.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues in the product development process.
- Ensure that all products are launched according to the set timeline.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and standards to ensure that the products are competitive.
Education and Experience
- At least 5 years' experience as a product development engineer.
- Experience working in a team and collaborating across departments.
Skills
- Good understanding of the product development process.
- Ability to create technical drawings and schematics.
- High attention to detail and ability to think critically.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
