This is a place where your fingerprints are found on metal – where what you design gets built, driven, and remembered. If you're hungry to engineer something that matters, Scout Motors is where that ambition finds its highest gear.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer – Drive & Energy Systems Integration & Validation to support the development, integration, and validation of advanced drive and energy features for next-generation Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) platforms. This role focuses on customer-facing and vehicle-critical drive and energy systems including propulsion controls, charging systems, battery management, regenerative braking, thermal systems, power distribution, and energy optimization features.

The engineer will support feature integration and validation activities across HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), bench, dyno, and vehicle environments. The ideal candidate has strong experience in EV/SDV architectures, powertrain integration, diagnostics, and vehicle networking with a focus on delivering robust, safe, and efficient drive and energy functionality.

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Own integration of all domain controllers and distributed ECUs into the vehicle E/E architecture with focus in Drive, Energy systems.
  • Own Software Integration & Validation per vehicle software maturity, performance and release gates and approve vehicle integration builds (per milestones).
  • Integrate and validate vehicle drive and energy features across prototype, bench, HIL, SIL, and vehicle test environments.
  • Expertise in integration of electric propulsion systems, inverters and motor control systems, Battery Management Systems (BMS), onboard charging systems, DC fast charging and charging communication
  • Experience with thermal and energy management systems, power distribution and HV systems, drive modes and torque management and vehicle power states and sleep/wake management
  • Support software and hardware bring-up for drive and energy ECUs, gateways, and zonal controllers.
  • Support features bring-up, calibration validation, and vehicle-level functionality testing.
  • Validation responsible for network topology, gateway routing strategies, signal database integrity (DBC, ARXML), bandwidth utilization and bus loading
  • Validate and manage vehicle communication across CAN / CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet (100/1000

    BASE-T1), Flex Ray network framework
  • Validate and release boot loader compatibility, flashing strategy, partitioning strategy (AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive), Memory and CPU utilization budgets
  • Develop and execute HIL and SIL test cases for body feature functionality and subsystem interactions.
  • Validate feature behaviors, diagnostics, fault handling, and software integration using simulation environments.
  • Validate wake-up/sleep strategies across ECUs, ensure no unintended current draw or parasitic drain and correct power state transitions during vehicle power cycles, start/stop/sleep, OTA updates/events
  • Validate UDS/DoIP response timing, diagnostic sessions do not degrade functional performance, DTC accuracy and freeze frame integrity and robustness.
