CoreResponsibilities
- Design Leadership:
Architect and oversee comprehensive electrical systems for high-stakes projects in the healthcare, institutional, and science/tech sectors. - Strategic Mentorship:
Steer the professional development of junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical rigor and cross-disciplinary innovation. - Client Stewardship:
Act as the primary technical liaison to build and sustain high-trust relationships, ensuring project outcomes exceed client expectations and drive repeat business. - Full-Lifecycle Management:
Integrate complex systems from initial concept through construction administration, balancing sophisticated technical quality with rigorous budget and schedule constraints. - Business Integration:
Partner with executive leadership to influence business development strategies and the firm's long-term growth trajectory. - Field Oversight:
Conduct strategic site visits across the Carolinas to ensure design intent is flawlessly implemented during the construction phase. - Technical Innovation:
Utilize cutting-edge BIM and Revit workflows to enhance project delivery and maintain the firm's competitive edge in the AEC market.
- Licensure:
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory. - Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. - Experience:
8–10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience within a consulting environment. - Sector Expertise:
Proven track record in the design of healthcare, institutional, lab, or large-scale multifamily facilities. - Software Proficiency:
Advanced command of Revit and BIM-integrated design tools.
- Multi-State Licensure:
Ability or willingness to obtain NCEES record for licensure in additional states. - Advanced Systems Knowledge:
Specific experience with complex emergency power systems, lighting controls, and low-voltage integration in clinical settings. - Entrepreneurial Drive:
Previous experience in project pursuit, fee estimation, or department-level resource management.
