Are you a Civil Engineer with your EIT certification and experience in land development design looking for an opportunity to grow your technical skills and advance toward PE licensure?
We are partnering with a respected engineering consulting firm seeking a Civil Engineer, EIT to join their Charlotte team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of land development projects while gaining increased project responsibility, client exposure, and technical leadership experience.
What You'll Do:- Support the planning, design, and execution of land development projects from concept through construction
- Assist with site feasibility studies, due diligence investigations, entitlement support, and cost estimates
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Design grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility systems, and erosion control plans
- Coordinate with municipalities, utility agencies, and permitting authorities
- Support project scope, schedule, and budget management
- Participate in client meetings, consultant coordination, and project team collaboration
- Conduct site visits and field observations during design and construction
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction administration activities
- Maintain project documentation and adhere to quality control standards
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 4+ years of civil engineering experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office 365
- Experience with WaterCAD, HydroCAD, or stormwater modeling software is a plus
- Understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and erosion control practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Desire to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- Work on diverse and impactful land development projects
