Sr. Global Solutions Engineer

This is a high-impact, customer-facing technical leadership role supporting Digital Realty's largest and most strategic customers. You will own the technical relationship across the full lifecycle of an opportunity — from discovery and solution design through contracting and deployment — acting as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams.

You'll play a critical role in driving customer success by translating business and technical requirements into engineered solutions, ensuring opportunities progress smoothly while delivering a best-in-class customer experience.

What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Hands-on, in-field experience in the data center industry supporting infrastructure such as:
Electrical / power systems or Mechanical / cooling systems. Pre-sales experience is required (Sales Engineering / Solutions Engineering preferred) Does not need to be a quota-carrying salesperson. Must be comfortable working closely with sales teams and engaging directly with customers in a client-facing, pre-sales capacity. 5+ years with a data center or colocation provider OR 8+ years in a related field (telecom, networking, engineering consulting, mission-critical facilities).

Proven ability to engage directly with customers and translate requirements into technical solutions. Strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, construction, operations, and commercial teams. Technical expertise in at least one area: networking, electrical systems, cooling systems, monitoring & controls, or mission-critical infrastructure. Experience supporting technical sales cycles and managing customer opportunities. Strong communication and presentation skills, including engagement with senior stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Adobe Acrobat.
