The work involves collaboration across mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering to solve complex design challenges and advance sustainability and human experience.
- Support a variety of projects including due diligence and site work for data centers, industrial sites, and power facilities.
- Coordinate with multiple internal teams on each project and manage client interactions professionally.
- Lead site visits and field reconnaissance with HDR staff and clients.
- Apply civil engineering concepts such as topographic design, land development standards, and state and municipal review processes.
- Coordinate between multiple groups and communicate effectively; demonstrate self-starting and teamwork capabilities.
- Lead and mentor team members in creating preliminary concept drawings, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and minimal supervision.
- 10 years of technical and/or field experience in complex site civil and/or environmental planning projects.
- Experience with local planning organizations and presenting projects in quasi-judicial proceedings.
- Ability and interest to work on various types of projects and perform multiple roles as needed.
- Up to 20 percent travel based on client schedules.
- Experience with data center development and site due diligence.
- Land development background and experience creating erosion control plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 5 years environmental experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research abilities.
- Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is essential.
