Electrical​/CAD Designer

Job Description

We are looking for an Electrical Designer / CAD Technician to support the design of electrical systems inside commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. This role is part of a multidisciplinary engineering team and focuses on producing construction drawings and technical documentation for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications systems.

• Provide technical and design support for building electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, telecom)
• Produce electrical construction drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Senior Electrical Engineers, and other design disciplines
• Complete assigned design tasks on schedule and within budget
• Support coordination meetings and incorporate feedback into design updates

• 2+ years of AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Revit design experience
• Two‑year degree in computer‑aided drafting, electrical systems technology, engineering technology, or a related technical field
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle and background record
• Experience with electrical construction or installation
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• 2+ years of experience in the AEC industry (architecture, engineering, construction)
• Experience designing electrical systems inside buildings
• Revit proficiency (highly preferred for top‑tier candidates)
