Role Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze emerging trends in Data Center build and operation.
- Assess customer needs (hyperscalers, colos, others) and understand the technical solutions from competition.
- Understand elements of product / system differentiation combining HVAC equipment throughout the full customer use chain.
- Analyze trade-offs.
- Translate customer/marketing needs into a strategy for products and solutions offering.
- Define the solution architecture and derive system level requirements.
- Breakdown system technical requirements into sub-system technical requirements.
- Lead engineering team to deliver projects on time, within budget and to meet all program performance expectations and requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with customers, product management, and various global stakeholders to align technical requirements and create a scalable, cost-efficient solution.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment and successful implementation of Data Center projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
- 15+ years of industry experience working with Data Center customers on cooling system solutions or leading New Product Development projects/team.
- Masters in an Engineering or Industrial field such as Mechanical Engineering.
- Familiarity with industrial business models for HVAC systems, preferably in a Data Center business environment.
- Proven track record of building trusted relationships cross-functionally and managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solutions/initiatives and ability to make decisions with conviction.
- Ability to solve complex problems using and finding alternate paths to achieve objectives in a highly constrained and fast-paced environment.
The annual salary for this position is between $ - $ annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other CompensationThis position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
