Job Summary: The Sr. Electrical Designer will provide technical and design service in support of electrical design projects to produce construction drawings and specifications for our clients. The electrical designer will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of project types including healthcare, federal, municipal and aviation.
Responsibilities- Participating in the electrical design effort on large and small projects.
- Coordination with engineering and other disciplines on the project team.
- Ability to provide calculations including lighting, voltage drop, and load calculations.
- Ability to lead project design and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Follow company standards in creation of electrical drawings.
- Provide field support including field verifications for retrofit applications, as-built documentation, and construction administration.
- From Project scope, develop electrical construction drawings (i.e. exterior lighting, interior lighting, power plans, systems plans, fire alarm system plans, grounding systems, details, single lines/riser diagrams and panel schedules).
- Willingness to travel for projects.
- Educational Background: High School Diploma or associate's degree with adequate drafting experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Experience: ten plus years’ experience in electrical design including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, systems, and grounding plans. Experience in Federal/Municipal Government, Healthcare and/or Aviation is preferred but not required.

Skills:
Proficiency in using engineering tools and software to:- Working knowledge of National Electrical Code, Buildings Codes, and Energy Codes.
- Must know Revit, AutoCAD and lighting design software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
- Adaptability: Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.
- Initiative: Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to complete work assignments.
- Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen and have a valid driver’s license.

The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $100,000
USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
