Position: Project Manager I - Science, Industrial, Technology (Architecture Engineering)

Project Manager I – Science, Industrial, Technology (Architecture Engineering)

Locations:
Charlotte, NC, USA and Grand Rapids, MI, USA.

Responsibilities
  • Provide overall project team leadership and maintain effective client relationships with Science, Industry, and Technology clients.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and scopes for Architectural Engineering built‑environment projects while monitoring financial performance.
  • Focus on key clients in Manufacturing and Cleanroom projects.
  • Build foundational understanding of project communication and collaborate effectively to meet client expectations and needs.
  • Familiarize with project management best practices, integrate design and team workflows, schedule QA/QC milestones, and ensure compliance through structured checklists and project charters.
  • Plan, monitor, and control costs and schedules for small projects under guidance, meeting profit goals and ensuring effective resource coordination.
  • Assist in proposal creation and interview participation, gaining familiarity with proposal types and components through team collaboration.
  • Initiate project start‑up by setting project numbers, budgets, schedules, and coordinating team meetings to establish clear goals and responsibilities.
  • Monitor project scope and collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, and other team members to proactively address risks when changes occur.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex projects in an Architectural Engineering environment.
  • CSI‑CDT certification required (training provided within a year).
  • Professional registration in your field highly preferred.
  • Certification through PSMJ/PMI preferred.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision and Project Planning software preferred.
