The Professional Surveyor position functions as a member of the Schneider Geomatics team. The role involves self-performing most tasks associated with Geomatics projects, including field and office tasks. The objective is to deliver survey services that meet client agreements in type, quality, and timeliness. Duties include boundary surveys, subdivision plats, topographic surveys, land title (ALTA) surveys, route surveys, construction surveys, control surveys, and other technical duties supporting projects from other offices or teams.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Land Surveyor’s license required in North Carolina.
  • 3–5 years of field surveying experience.
  • 3–5 years of office surveying experience.
  • Strong understanding of field and office functions for traditional surveying deliverables in utility infrastructure and construction markets.
  • Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD experience.
  • Preferred 1 year of Civil 3D experience.
  • Knowledge of conventional and GPS land surveying equipment and techniques. Experience with Trimble GPS network, base/rover setup, Trimble robotic Total Station, and proficiency in Trimble Business Center preferred.
  • Experience with GIS platforms and internet search engines.
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand engineering drawings and utility construction plans.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Good written and oral communication in English.
