Electrical Engineer – Manufacturing Production Team, Creedmoor, NC
You will report to the Engineering Manager and work onsite in Creedmoor, NC.
Position PurposeThe Electrical Engineering position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and guiding the manufacturing of electrical components for new or existing products, ensuring functional requirements of electromechanical products are met and manufacturing quality standards are upheld.
Responsibilities- Interpret complex drawings, schematics and technical specifications to evaluate product designs and develop manufacturing work instructions, processes, routers, operating standards and test protocols.
- Develop prototype/pilot manufacturing builds to test and evaluate product and process designs.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales and Quality teams in the launch of new products and the support and improvement of existing products.
- Develop, design, and maintain manufacturing testing systems.
- Create and maintain accurate electrical drawings, schematics, technical specifications and manufacturing process documentation.
- Provide documentation and training on assembly methods, test procedures and production equipment.
- Conduct failure analyses to resolve manufacturability or quality issues on non-conforming materials.
- Perform high-level troubleshooting on electrical assemblies.
- Provide technical assistance related to manufacturing and electrical processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering technology or equivalent.
- Minimum four years of experience in manufacturing, working with AC/DC motors, actuators, circuit boards, electronic assemblies and accessories.
- Knowledge of materials, outside processes, NDT and specifications related to precision aerospace components and systems.
- Effective communication and ability to write clear, concise technical reports.
- Project management experience.
- Formal problem-solving methodologies.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Lab View and Altium.
- Familiarity with PLC programming.
