What You'll Do
As a Mechanical Designer / Mechanical Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering high-performance building systems that balance efficiency, comfort, sustainability, and constructability.
Key Responsibilities
+ Design and model HVAC and building mechanical systems using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
+ Collaborate with engineers, project managers, architects, and other disciplines to develop coordinated building designs
+ Prepare high-quality construction documents, drawings, and technical specifications
+ Apply building, mechanical, and energy codes to develop compliant and efficient system solutions
+ Coordinate with other trades to ensure fully integrated and constructible designs
+ Participate in engineering analysis, system selection, and design optimization efforts
+ Support project documentation utilizing Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and engineering software tools
+ Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders throughout the design process
+ Contribute to project success by delivering innovative, practical, and technically sound solutions
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
+ 1-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design or building systems engineering
+ Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
+ Knowledge of HVAC systems and building mechanical design principles
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
+ Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
+ A proactive mindset with a passion for learning and professional growth
Preferred Qualifications
+ EIT certification or active pursuit of professional licensure
+
Experience with Bluebeam Revu and engineering analysis software
+ LEED AP, WELL AP, or interest in sustainable and high-performance building design
+ Familiarity with energy-efficient system design and building performance strategies

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $58.00/hr.
