Our client is a growing energy and infrastructure firm delivering critical projects across the renewable energy, data center, power generation, and utility markets. As project demand continues to expand, they are seeking an Electrical Engineer with Protection & Controls experience who is excited to apply their expertise to some of the most impactful energy projects being developed today.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio that may include utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, power generation facilities, and large-scale data center developments.
Responsibilities- Design and support electrical systems for renewable energy, power generation, substation, and industrial infrastructure projects.
- Develop and review engineering deliverablesincluding one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, equipment specifications, and construction packages.
- Perform electrical analysis and system studies to ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant system performance.
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams, clients, utilities, contractors, and vendors throughout project execution.
- Provide technical support during project commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and field implementation activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related four year engineering degree.
- 5+ years of electrical engineering experience within power delivery, substations, utilities, industrial power systems, renewable generation, or related infrastructure projects.
- Experience with Protection & Controls (P&C) engineering.
- Familiarity with medium-voltage or high-voltage electrical systems.
- Experience developing electrical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of protective relaying principles and power system protection schemes.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience supporting power infrastructure projects.
- Experience with power system software such as: ETAP, SKM, Easy Power, SEL, AutoCAD, etc.
- Familiarity with commissioning, field engineering, or testing experience.
