Engineer, Quality Engineering

Tate Metalworks, Inc., is a heavy industrial fabricator and erector specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of storage tanks and pressure vessels and other welded steel structures.

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will design technical drawings, ensuring engineering specifications and standards, safety protocols, and client requirements are met through the project life cycle.

• Review Customer Technical specifications and drawings and develop designs based on Customer-supplied plans and specifications, and a variety of applicable Codes: ASME Section VIII, API, AWWA, NFPA, ASIC, and National and International Building Codes.
• Generate detailed shop fabrication and field erection cost estimates.
• Generate Subcontractor Request for Quotation Packages.
• Review Customer Terms and Conditions.
• Write and issue technical and commercial proposals to our customers.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Certifications:
  
  Professional Engineer (PE) license desired.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project engineering.
• Communication:
  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
