Job Summary

We are looking for a Compliance & Product Safety Engineer with working knowledge of ATEX, EMC, and global product certification standards. The role involves supporting product development teams to ensure compliance across the lifecycle, coordinating with notified bodies, and maintaining certification documentation. Candidates should have a strong engineering foundation and be comfortable working in cross-functional environments.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Support ATEX-related compliance activities for products used in potentially explosive atmospheres
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to ensure compliance with EMC/EMI, UL, LV, CE, and EU Machinery Directive
  • Coordinate certification processes: sample submission, documentation, and liaison with notified bodies
  • Assist in technical design reviews and recommend changes for regulatory compliance
  • Maintain compliance documentation including manuals and datasheets
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on products
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Conduct basic risk and hazard analysis as needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Understanding of ATEX, EMC, UL, Low Voltage, and Machinery Directive standards
  • Background in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Ability to manage tasks and timelines across teams
  • Familiarity with CE Marking and global conformity standards (IEC, EN, UL, ISO)
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with technical documentation and compliance reporting
Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of experience in product safety, compliance, and regulatory certification.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex certification projects and collaborating across technical teams.
