What You'll Do:
- Provide technical leadership and project management on various sizes of projects that could span both gas and liquid clients. Projects will involve both mainline pipe and facilities
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups ensuring a quality on-time product for our client, and a financially successful project
- Provide technical support as part of an engineering team on large/complex projects as needed
- Project development - provide technical support for the development of projects (conceptual through final design)
- Determines personnel needed with most appropriate individual qualifications and prepares manpower and cost estimates of location as required.
- Ensures the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the office's work as to engineering, design, and drafting quality; compliance with established standards, procedures, codes and ordinances; adherence to design and project schedules; and provides adequate training, technical and administrative guidance, and instruction to personnel within the location.
- Manages and supervises various personnel functions, including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, salary recommendations, and employee development
- Support the management of the office including annual location budgets and associated expenses. Collaborate with the team to organize and lead office events within the approved budget.
- Lead and/or support proposal efforts being able to work with multiple disciplines and subcontractors for developing scope and competitive pricing
- Actively participates in business development efforts and assists the section manager in development and implementation of the department business plan.
- Expand on relationships and workload with current clients and support efforts as needed for pursuit of new clients
- Prepares and/or reviews and executes agreements for professional services
- BS in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
- 15+ years of experience, including engineering management experience, in the oil, natural gas, or related industry
- Minimum of 5-10 years performing project work as a project manager with a firm understanding and experience in applying project management tools and best practices
- Highly motivated self-starter
- General understanding of and able to interpret and apply DOT, API, ANSI, ASME and owner regulations, codes and standards
- Computer proficiency:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project - Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver's license
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), required
- Professional Project Manager (PMP) a plus
- Ability to supervise and direct work of others
- Ability to work on several multi-discipline projects simultaneously
- Ability to develop business and work with clients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to positively influence others and develop strong internal and external relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a wide variety of issues on multiple projects
- Strong team skills complemented with a strong work ethic
- Supervisory experience a plus
