Job Description

Senior Air Quality Professional to join our team in the South Division.

The position is available in:
  • Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Raleigh, North Carolina
  • Atlanta, Georgia
Primary Responsibilities
  • Preparation of emission inventories
  • Permit application development
  • Regulatory review
  • Compliance recordkeeping
  • Greenhouse gas reporting

The applicant should have strong technical experience with air quality analyses and also have experience interacting with clients and regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate would also have experience mentoring junior level staff on technical work. This position will be expected to communicate with clients.

The applicant may also provide multimedia environmental compliance support to industrial, transportation, energy and other clients, including stormwater permitting, SPCC plan development, waste management support, compliance auditing, and industrial hygiene support. Additional activities may include site assessment and groundwater remediation support.

Minimum Experience
  • Emission calculations
  • Minor source permitting
  • Proficient with air emissions software such as E& P Tanks and GRI Gly Calc
  • Air quality regulations applicability determinations
  • Demonstrated expertise with environmental regulatory requirements in the southeastern United States
  • Project management
Preferred Experience (beneficial but not required)
  • Air dispersion modeling
  • Major source and Title V permitting
  • Experience in the mining sector focusing on air compliance
  • Project and/or client management
  • Professional Engineering, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager or other professional certification
Professional Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Environmental, or related field
  • 10+ years of related experience in Air Quality compliance
  • Proficient at communicating with clients and public
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong experience with writing and communicating technical material
  • Some travel may be necessary
