Position: Lead Mechanical PE - Power Generation with Security Clearance
Lead Mechanical Engineer - EPC Power Generation Overview Seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to support large-scale EPC Power Generation projects. This role leads the mechanical engineering scope from design through execution, overseeing technical deliverables, engineering teams, vendor coordination, project schedules, budgets, and client interfaces. Ideal candidates bring deep experience with combined-cycle and/or fossil fuel power plants and a strong background in EPC project execution.

Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical engineering activities for EPC power generation projects.
Manage engineering scope, schedules, budgets, and resource planning.
Oversee and mentor mechanical engineers and design personnel.
Develop equipment specifications, RFQs, and technical bid packages.
Evaluate vendor proposals and recommend equipment selections.
Review supplier drawings and documentation for technical compliance.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering, construction, and project teams.
Conduct field walkdowns and resolve technical design issues.
Interface with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Prepare project status reports and support project execution initiatives.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
15+ years of experience supporting EPC Power Generation projects.
Proven experience as Lead Mechanical Engineer on large EPC power projects.
Direct EPC project execution experience within the power generation industry.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or eligibility for reciprocity/near-term licensure.
Strong knowledge of combined-cycle and/or fossil fuel power plants.

Experience with combustion turbines (CTGs), steam turbines (STGs), HRSGs, and balance-of-plant systems.
Working knowledge of ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team coordination skills.
Ability to maintain active status in a drug and/or alcohol testing consortium.

Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting combined-cycle power plant projects.
Familiarity with ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code.
Experience managing engineering schedules, budgets, and project controls.
Background reviewing vendor documentation and equipment procurement packages.
Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Work Arrangement On-Site Office-based role supporting EPC Power Generation projects.
Occasional travel for project meetings, vendor coordination, and field walkdowns as required.
