Messer Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on complex commercial projects. In this role, you will plan and coordinate MEP design integration, oversee trade partners, and ensure safety, quality, and code compliance from preconstruction through commissioning. You will review drawings, manage BIM coordination, drive schedule and budget performance, and resolve field conflicts. As part of Messer's employee-owned, safety-focused culture, you'll mentor teams, collaborate with clients and design partners, and help deliver innovative, community-impacting projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, coordination, and installation of MEP systems on commercial construction projects
- Review drawings and specifications and drive BIM coordination to resolve MEP clashes
- Manage MEP subcontractors, vendors, and field activities to meet safety, quality, and schedule goals
- Monitor MEP budgets, quantities, and change orders, collaborating with project management and preconstruction
- Ensure compliance with building codes, NFPA, and Messer safety standards across all MEP work
- Oversee MEP commissioning, testing, startup, and turnover documentation
- Partner with design teams, owners, and internal stakeholders to address technical issues and value engineering
- Mentor project engineers and field staff on MEP best practices and emerging technologies
