Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Operations Management
The Project Manager I (PM-I) supports the planning, coordination, and execution of capital projects associated with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facilities. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder communications while working under general supervision. The PM-I collaborates with engineering, operations, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies to help ensure successful project delivery in a safe and compliant manner.
This position is ideal for an early to mid-career project manager seeking to expand their experience managing engineering and construction projects within the utility and energy industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in managing LNG facility projects through planning, design, construction, and closeout phases.
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Coordinate activities with engineering teams, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Support project scope development, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management activities.
- Monitor project progress and provide status updates to project teams and leadership.
- Assist with contract administration, contractor oversight, and consultant coordination.
- Support compliance with federal, state, environmental, and permitting requirements.
- Partner with our client's Security, Telecommunications, Operations, Engineering, and other business units to resolve project-related issues.
- Identify project risks and help develop practical solutions to maintain project objectives.
- Promote a strong safety culture and support environmental compliance requirements.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
- Minimum 5-6 years of project management, engineering, or related utility/industrial project experience.
- Experience supporting engineering, construction, infrastructure, or LNG-related projects.
- Working knowledge of federal and North Carolina permitting and environmental requirements.
- Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience supporting LNG, natural gas, utility, energy, or heavy industrial projects.
- Familiarity with utility project management processes and practices.
- PMP certification or progress toward certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams.
