Assistant Facilities Director

  • Plan and direct the construction and renovation of all facilities nation-wide through the supervision of external contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure maximum quality and efficiency at the lowest possible cost.
  • Develops and maintains the appropriate capital appropriation plans to ensure on time and within budget for each project.
  • Assist with the development of a center relocation and expansion strategy.
  • Assist with the development of a standard for plasma centers that maximizes durability, standardization and functionality to minimize cost.
  • Assist with the development of a process with the assistance of outside contractors to value engineer all projects.
  • Assist with the development of a disaster recovery program including files of drawings, specifications and lists of contractors for each location.
  • Manage vendor operations including security, maintenance, sprinkler, fire extinguisher, lighting, plumbing, recycling, etc. for all Octapharma Plasma Inc locations including corporate, donor centers, laboratory and warehouse.
  • Act as a liaison with the document control department regarding storage and technical space at the warehouse.
  • Provide monthly reports to the Director of Facilities regarding project updates, project costs, new issues, productivity/accomplishments, incidents and work order details.
  • Assess cost and get prior approval for new projects.

This Is What You’ll Do

This Is What It Takes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, business or other related field.
  • 5 - 7 years’ work experience in engineering, construction, and project management.
