Position: Power Make-Ready Design Supervisor

Sigma Technologies, Ltd. seeks a Power Make-Ready Design Supervisor to lead a team delivering safe, accurate designs for telecom and utility infrastructure. You will oversee power make-ready engineering for pole lines, review calculations and drawings, and ensure compliance with NESC and utility standards. Responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating design work, collaborating with field and GIS teams, interfacing with client engineers, and driving quality, safety, and on-time deliverables.

You will mentor designers, refine processes, and help grow project capabilities in a collaborative, engineering-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise power make-ready design team for telecom and utility projects
  • Review and approve pole loading, clearance, and structural calculations
  • Ensure designs comply with NESC, client, and utility standards
  • Coordinate schedules, workloads, and priorities across projects
  • Collaborate with field, GIS, and network design teams to resolve design issues
  • Interface with client engineers to clarify scope and technical requirements
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes for all deliverables
  • Mentor and develop designers, providing technical guidance and feedback
  • Support process improvements, standards development, and tool adoption
  • Promote a strong safety and compliance culture in all design activities
