Job Details:

We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Civil Engineer with a focus on Land Development & Design in the Construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of infrastructure such as roads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, and more. This role requires a deep understanding of the principles of civil engineering, coupled with a creative mind and a passion for innovation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PE, Stormwater, and Drainage.

• Design, plan, and supervise construction projects, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Develop detailed designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Conduct feasibility studies, including site investigations, complex analysis of collected data, and preparation of reports.
• Manage and direct staff members and the construction, operations, or maintenance activities at project site.
• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
• Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
• Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and managerial personnel.
• Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess potential project impact.
• Design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, specifically within the Construction industry.
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with stormwater and drainage systems.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to supervise a project from conception to completion.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction, design, and cost estimation methodologies.
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop).
• A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
• Ability to work with a team and independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they elevate.
